Sometimes you Have a Question

Cabana del Oso

Policies & F.A.Q.

    Does the home have AC?

The home does have an AC unit in the living room and three (3) plug in fans and one ceiling fan. Packwood is at about 1000 ft. in elevation, and you are surrounded by rainforest. The average temperature this time of year is between 70-75. The AC Unit and DRYER should not be used at the same time.

Does the house have a washing machine or dryer?

Washing machine and dryer are in the house, as well as some detergent. Feel free to use what you need.

Where should we pick up and leave the key?

Keys are in the lockbox next to the right of the front door. The code is available under Current Guests Page.

Will my cell phone work? What about internet?

The house has cable internet, which allows for streaming of Netflix and Hulu, which should be logged in for your use. Cell phone reception basically cuts out after Morton if you are on ATT or Sprint. Sprint and Verizon work fine. You can get service again 20 minutes up the hill at the top of White Pass (weird huh?)

Do you have any containers for craft beer?

Yes! I have two growlers you’re welcome to get filled at the local liquor store.

How do the outside lights work?

The back porch flood light is for security purposes. The lights for the patio area are on two switches:

    • Switch #1 turns on the tea lights.

    • Switch #2 turns on the fountain and up-lights on the bamboo.

    Where should we park?

Please park in the driveway if possible, particularly if there is snow as the plow needs to turn around in the cul-de-sac.
