Aaron's Favorite Hikes
There are hikes and outdoor activities in all directions. Stop ty the Sports Hut and they will hook you up with recreational gear and equipment rentals. Rafting in the late summer (August to September). Packwood State Park has local trails near town along Skate Creek and the Cowlitz. Be in touch with the local Oso team for ideas to get out and explore!
Looking for a day trip? Drive the road up to Paradise at Mt. Rainer. Hike the Pacific Crest Trail. Head over to the Yakima Valley via the Highway 12 Scenic Byway to visit wineries and get some tamales. High Rock Lookout is pretty fantastic.

The antique and pottery stores in town are places to find gems. Visit the White Pass Museum to learn about the history of the region. Aaron’s ancestors were original homesteaders in Packwood.
